WDI Inspections in Austin
Clear WDI Findings for Austin Property Decisions
A wood-destroying insect (WDI) inspection visually examines accessible areas for active insects, evidence of previous activity, and conditions that may support an infestation. It gives Austin homeowners, buyers, sellers, and real-estate professionals a clearer picture of a property’s visible condition.
Findings may be documented in a Wood Destroying Insect Report (WDIR), including the Texas Official Wood Destroying Insect Report when applicable. Unlike a standard home inspection, this service focuses on reportable wood-destroying insects, which may include subterranean termites, carpenter ants, and wood-boring beetles.
Call (512) 812-9311 to discuss your WDI inspection in Austin and what information you need for your property or real-estate transaction.

Using WDI Findings to Make Property Decisions
A WDI report reflects observations made on a specific inspection date. Buyers and sellers can consider those findings during a real-estate transaction, while homeowners may use them to decide whether further evaluation, preventive action, treatment, or repairs should be considered.
The inspection and report aren’t pest treatment, and they don’t repair damaged wood. They also can’t confirm that insects are absent from concealed or inaccessible parts of the property.
WDI Inspection vs. Home Inspection
A standard home inspection evaluates the broader condition of a property’s visible systems and components. A WDI inspection focuses specifically on wood-destroying insects, evidence of their activity, and conducive conditions. Buyers and sellers should confirm whether their transaction calls for a separate Wood Destroying Insect Report.
Evidence of Previous Treatment
Drill marks, treatment stickers, or other visible indicators may suggest that prior treatment occurred. That observation alone doesn’t establish what work was performed or whether it was complete or successful.

He is so thorough and knowledgeable.
Love the tech. He is so thorough and knowledgeable. Have not seen any traces of mice inside my residence since he set traps and patiently sealed all their entrances and living a rural area is a real challenge. The mice were everywhere, even in my bed while I slept!!! And THE KITCHEN too. Totally disgusting.Carolyn Greenburg -
